Course Description
This course provides an in-depth look at professional ethics relating to disclosure and reporting under the new Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct. The facilitator presents the facts in two cases and two attorneys argue the legal questions relating to those cases: What information must be disclosed? What documentation must be produced? What constitutes an attorneys duty to report misconduct and when should that reporting take place?The course focuses on the new Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct. The instructors draw distinctions between the American Bar Association Model Rules of Professional Conduct and the Ohio Rules, in particular Rule 8.3, and analyze case law in light of these rules.
